Cosmic Frontline AR is a visual masterpiece that demonstrates exactly why Augmented Reality belongs in gaming. By projecting a miniature solar system onto your coffee table, it transforms your physical space into a strategic battlefield. The sense of scale is breathtaking; seeing hundreds of tiny ships warp into existence and clash in a beam-filled dogfight right in front of your eyes never gets old.
Mechanically, it’s a streamlined RTS similar to games like Auralux. You manage planets that produce ships and send them to conquer neighboring worlds. It’s simple to learn, but the tactical depth comes from managing multi-front wars while physically moving around the battlefield to check on different sectors. The lack of in-app purchases is a breath of fresh air in the current mobile landscape, making this a pure, premium experience that every AR-capable device owner should try.
Immersive AR gameplay
Massive ship-to-ship battles
No in-app purchases or paywalls
Full single-player campaign
Don't overextend! Ensure your home planets are fully upgraded before launching a massive offensive, as your production speed is key to winning wars of attrition.
Physically move your device closer to planets to inspect their defense levels and pull back to get a strategic overview of the entire star system.
The game can be scaled to fit a small tabletop or expanded to fill an entire room.
Cosmic Frontline is a simple yet exciting game! I found myself strategizing the best way to beat each level to make sure every choice was the right choice. The use of AR in this game is fantastic. You can truly see a whole galaxy in your room. You can even walk around and inspect each and every planet. I believe this game is very underrated at the moment and deserves more recognition. You are truly getting a bang for your buck here and I’m excited to see what more the developers have in store for this game!
This is very fun if you’re interested in battle and outer-space games. The graphics are definitely on par and looks extremely professional along with the cool AI component. I do wish that the audio would work for me as it would be nice to have some background music while playing. Overall this is a great game!
I really enjoyed this game. The price is worth is because the developers put a lot of time into this game to ensure that it runs smoothly. I honestly got so lost in playing it because I was having so much fun. It did not significantly drain the battery on my phone either! I plan on keeping this game and look forward to seeing where this game goes in the future! This is the future of AR and it is great.
I like the idea of this game, having practically played it before through the game “Auralux” but I feel like it does not compare too well. I would really like if there was more content such as multiplayer (local and online preferably), perhaps a level builder, more kinds of ships with special abilities, special planetary resources ( suppose a planet was able to uniquely generate a resource that could be used to build a ship), better controls, etc. And finally, please remove ads. It’s not cool to have them on a paid game. Ads are the primary reason for me to give this app one star.
The AR graphics look really cool across my room. It was very relaxing to play, especially because of the calming music. Had no issues. I just would like some sort of tutorial or help guide. I managed to figure it out on my own but more instructions would be nice. Overall very cool game.
Have enjoyed playing this game. It’s a simple strategy game but still challenging the further in you get. The choice to play with or without AR is a great option as well. The graphics are great for mobile too.
Never saw an ad and was able to pass all the level without using additional troops. It was fun.
This game has levels where you HAVE to watch an ad to win. I challenge anyone to post every level they’ve played where they were not FORCED to watch an ad to complete. AVOID THIS FARCE! It’s too bad because the gameplay was enjoyable with replayability if it wasn’t for the fact that the devs designed it where you MUST sit for 30 seconds watching an ad for another pay-to-win game
