I want to start by saying I’ve been playing this game for a long time and I’m a huge fan. With that being said I’ve reached out several times to complain about the update that gave us the backpack. In my game there is no way to get my boosters out of the backpack. I can be stuck on a level for literally weeks with tons of boosters in there that could help me that I can’t use. Even timed boosters that I win will just stay in there. Once I win the level they will all come pouring out. Is this a gimmick by the developer to get the player to purchase boosters? If so this is really awful and not a great way to market or keep players. I have reloaded the game several times thinking it’s some kind of glitch but it just stays the same. The boosters that I win go into the backpack when I click on them to get them out it prompts me to to click on the purchase button when I do it wants me to purchase this booster that I already have. Again not fair. How can you expect anyone to beat a Nightmarishly Hard Level with no boosters? I’m disappointed and frustrated. I may have to stop playing until the issue can be resolved. I can’t really advance in levels anyway.

Love the game, but not on days where my temper is short

This game is fun, but can also be annoying at times. The difficulty pacing is really weird. It gives you several normal levels, then throws a really hard one at you every now and then. I’m not really a fan, but it’s ok. My main issue however is the constant pop ups whenever I’m just trying to play the game. And I’m not talking about ads. You can play this game for hours without watching a single ad, I haven’t since install since they’re a choice, but whenever I open the game and go to play a level I have to go through several windows of what’s essentially a repackaged Fortnite battle pass or some event I don’t care about. I really don’t care to buy the Cool version or race random people, so I just skip over it. Overall, it’s mildly annoying at worst, pretty fun at best. It beats other free mobile games, in my opinion, because the only time you’d watch an ad is for rewards. You don’t get forced to in between levels, it’s just that you could watch one to get a boost to the start of your level or extra moves if you fail. I really do hate that the bar is that low that it makes this seem good. Some levels feel like they’re begging you to watch ads/spend money because they’re borderline impossible without it, but maybe that’s just me. I usually give it a couple days then come back to it and see if I can do it then.

Pay to pass

If you have extreme patients and don’t mind spending weeks playing the same level hoping they’ll finally let you pass this time, then this game is for you! If you like to actually progress through games in a responsible time line, I would not recommend! The game starts off easy enough. But eventually you start getting hit with levels that are next to impossible to beat without boosters. The first few are on the house and they’ll give them to you for free. But as the levels progress even harder, you’ll find yourself needing more boosters because “I was able to beat that one level with them!” But the catch is you done used your few free ones. If you want to get boosters now you have to PAY! And price is crazy high. $8 to buy 50 gold bars that’ll buy you just 1, and if you pick boosters that are cheaper, you can get 2 for $8! But the cheaper ones don’t work well enough to beat the game level and then you end up spending more to buy more to pass a level. I paid to beat 4 levels, and noticed a pattern and quickly deleted the game. So if you want to pay to pass, this is your game! If you wanna try and tough it out and spend weeks playing the same level, this is your game! But if you want to actually progress through a game without having to pay $8-$15 to beat a level, I do not recommend.

Pay to lose

Let’s start with me loving candy crush. I’m on level 1,933 I play almost every day. But, there’s so many things that are frustrating for users that want to continue to play the game. First, WHY CAN I ONLY USE 20 LIVES A DAY?!! please I just wanna know. I’m so miserable watching that long timer for a single life that’s gonna be used up in 2 minutes maybe less. Plus they’re lives that friends sent so they should be mine without limitation. Second, why do I never get the option to watch videos to earn boosts or lives? I literally get so sad because I’m watching my bf watch his videos to continue playing. Maybe it’s my fault for ever paying into the game. It hurts to rate this low on a game I enjoy but the fun is taken away with every little update they do. Way too many restrictions on users and almost forces them to buy boosters even though you still won’t win 😐 Update: currently level 2394 and unless you have the patience to continue failing till they seem like you’ve had enough don’t download the game. why does it take like 30 minutes per life like this is causing more stress. I’m not about to pay to win every time bc what’s the point? I understand challenging levels but like who’s gonna take out 94 jellies with 10 moves. It’s so unrealistic and not even fun to play anymore. My rate still stands and I don’t think it will change unless they make the game enjoyable again.

Way too frustrating.

I am on level 4000. What I have learned is that every game now takes several days to a week to win unless you pay. I am really, really sick of this. It hasn’t been fun for some time now. I rarely play anymore because of the constant frustration of levels with too few moves and it has become obvious that they intentionally mess with your game so you cannot win. It is not random. My husband and I both play. I originally signed him up from my account years ago and I have contacted Candy Crush about the differences in his game and mine. I was informed by an employee that they give different players different options and opportunities. He occasionally buys stuff, I do not. About a year ago I bought some power ups to see what would happen and the game became harder to win instantly. That and the constant, unending pop ups! Buy this, look at that, force you to look at some idiotic disapproving cartoon while you play, force you to participate in a race that drives home how you lost the race - Oh no! Hurry up and buy something so you can win!!!! I would buy the occasional power up if I found the game pleasant and fun. Since you are doing your best to force me to, I will not. I will continue to play when I need a distraction while I am waiting at an appointment but that’s about it.

This game is dumb, once you get in the 200 levels it all changes to make it so you have no chance at winning unless you use Gold that is impossible to earn to continue. all i can say it was fun till you realize it is just about buying wins ha. You can pass any level and they intentionally make it so you have to use pay for gold or massive earned credits of cookies fish and lolly pop hammers ect to advance. What a joke top it off with five lives that you never advance and sit on the same level till you collect your free stuff that still does not help when they only allow 1 move on the hard levels and it is rigged so it is not even luck, they intentionally make it so you have to purchase at the last few moves just to finish the levels. So dumb I can finsh level 325 anytime buy using 10 gold or 5 candy perks but i want to see how long or if even possible to advance on the rigged game with no add ons and it is just annoying at this point over three hundred tries with a max of three different moves to make! the game suks and just aggravates you while boasting about fun by kicking back and swiping ha! The whole pretending there is any skill involved is nonsense when most of the difficult levels only allow one move so you really have no choice, not even fun i will delete it now!

If you enjoy feeling cheated, this game is for you.

All the negative reviews that you see are true. They make no effort whatsoever trying to hide their deception, their cheating and their greed. Once you get to a certain point, you will not move on until they want you to. They will make it impossible without using boosters that you can pay for or using gold bars for extra moves. They know how long you’ll put up with it and you won’t be able to make a wrong move and you’ll beat a level you’ve been stuck on for weeks without even trying. It’s all an algorithm to extract as much money as possible from you. There will be times that you’ll use a color bomb candy and it won’t clear all the candies that are the color you chose to clear. The striped candy used to be oriented the way that you completed the 4 candy combo, now it’s whatever way they see fit (usually it’ll go the way you don’t want it to go). If you use boosters before the round starts, they will often times make it so that you must use it right away and it will do little to nothing to help you out, making it a complete waste. I can go on for days about the garbage baked into this game to make it absolutely infuriating. Do yourself a favor and stay far away, this game is 100% rigged. The reviews are true.

I miss when I could actually play the game

I first downloaded this game in July 2022 and loved it for months. I didn’t play it every day but really enjoyed it. Now however it’s become less and less enjoyable to play it — I barely even GET to play it. I’ve been stuck on lvl 687 for about a week. I don’t want to spend any more money on this game but I have no boosters or gold bars and this level is impossible to beat without them. The funny thing is it’s not even labeled as a hard level. It should be easy but the amount of moves I’m given is nowhere close to being enough for me to beat it. I’m so frustrated. I love this game when I can actually play it, but it’s clear the devs only care about receiving money. Another thing is I’m no longer given the option to watch ads when I run out of moves to help me beat the level. They used to give me it often, then at some point the ads would go black and I’d be given no extra moves, and now the option is completely gone. I shouldn’t struggle this much to pass a level that isn’t even considered “hard” in the game. It’s been like this for a while—taking days to pass a level just for the cycle to repeat itself. The game is fun, but I’m so tired of being stuck on the same levels for ages just because the devs are so desperate for money.
