Brilliant Sort is a masterclass in 'zen' puzzle design. While the color-sorting mechanic is familiar, the presentation elevates it into something much more relaxing. The gemstones are beautifully rendered with realistic light reflections that make the screen feel like a jewelry box. There’s no high-pressure timer or flashing lights; just the satisfying sound of jewels clicking into velvet cases.
I found the difficulty curve to be quite gentle, which makes it a perfect 'wind-down' game before bed. It still requires logical planning—especially in the later levels where you have limited 'empty' cases—but it never feels frustrating. The ability to unlock different case designs and gem shapes adds a nice layer of progression that kept me coming back. If you enjoyed games like 'Water Sort' but wanted something with a more premium, high-end feel, this is an excellent choice.
Beautifully rendered gemstones
500+ unique levels
Satisfying sound effects
Unlockable case designs
Avoid filling up all cases partially. Try to complete the 'Red Diamond' case first to free up space for more complex sorting later.
Simple one-finger controls. Tap a case to pick the top gem and tap another to place it. Gems can only be placed on matching colors or empty spots.
Yes, the game offers a limited number of undos per level.
UPDATE Nice improvements to rewards system and new events make this game continuously interesting. Still has the problem of leaving pixels islands and it’s never advantageous to complete a stage, but otherwise I appreciate the developers’ improvement efforts. ORIGINAL Nothing beats watching a bunch of flying pixels moving to the right color, it’s a very satisfying game. The issue is that no matter where you tap, the game intelligence often leaves islands of one or a few pixels behind so you end up having to move individual dots between spaces, which is incredibly tedious. Another issue is the game is very greedy, even after paying for ad free. Each level gives you 10 coins. Each stage of about 8 puzzles gives you a prize if you complete all 8, but there are at least two puzzles that cost you 500 coins *each* to play. So you get about 80 coins per stage but have to pay 1000 to complete it. Thankfully you don’t need to complete a stage to move to the next, but the math is so lopsided I removed two stars.
The game is okay but also very annoying. You will spend more time watching ads (which freeze often) than playing the game. Some are timed and the allotted time is very limited most of the time, forcing you to use up precious coins that took watching MANY ads to accumulate, in order to buy extra slots to finish the puzzle in the allotted time. Even if you spend the coins to open more slots, you’re still very pressed for time and if you don’t get done before the clock runs out, you wasted valuable coins that take forever to accumulate. A majority of the coins are made by watching ads. The rewards for finishing a puzzle are very minimal and your only options to get more is constantly watching ads or paying money for more. Oh, and some games also take coins to play. Also, the placement of where you pay coins to add more slots is positioned so close to the free slots that you frequently touch the button to use coins to purchase more slots, and there goes all the coins you were building up to play the games that take coins. The placement of that button is not by accident. I’ve been on the fence about keeping this game or deleting it but as I’m writing this, I’m getting more frustrated just thinking about this game and feeling like it’s more of a scam than an enjoyable game. So I’ll be looking for a similar game with more fair rewards. I don’t mind watching an ad here and there but after every game, before you can get your reward, and then several more to earn enough coins to play the next game is just ridiculous.
This is a fairly new game. The concept is great. The design is very good and they are changing it very regularly making some improvements but unfortunately making far more mistakes as far as gameplay for users. The perception is that they are getting greedy which is a serious downfall for many games that are gaining in popularity. They have added an obnoxious amount of popups in recent weeks that come up mid-game and particularly during timed events that are shamelessly disguised as prizes and bonuses. These popups are actually ruses designed to get the player to spend useful items they’ve already earned for lesser items and also to slow them in the timed event so the player doesn’t don’t win. The popups also come up just in time to run the clock out between levels to further reduce chances for winning in timed events. There are only a limited number of regular levels but once they are all completed the player can replay past levels in the “gallery” which require the player to use rewards they’ve earned in the competitive part of the game that they’ve finished. Plus the gallery puts the player back to the very beginning after every level that is replayed. This is a very fun and addictive game. It is very new and I believe that is why the regular levels are so limited —currently only 294 levels available which took me about 2 months to complete as a serious player. One more thing that is only my opinion ans absolutely nothing to do with gameplay … I wish the pictures were more often in beautiful pastels or bright cohesive color palettes. Thank you so much. I pray blessings on you and yours always.
Update: they seem to have fixed the glitches and I haven’t recently seen thong girl so I’ve updated my rating. Still get the ads that open my browser or app store when I try to exit them though. Getting really annoyed with glitches like on the daily level it does nothing if I try to use a ticket to keep playing. I have to use coins if I want to keep playing. Why even have tickets as an option if it’s not functional? Also, I’ve finished levels and it does nothing. I have to exit the app and go back in for it to acknowledge that I finished the puzzle. I really, really, really hate apps that have ads that auto open a website or the app store, ones that automatically play loud sounds, or have inappropriate imagery. Not sure about other people but that stuff makes it certain I’m not going to buy those items. I don’t understand why these app creators don’t check what ads are being shown to their users. I’m a lot less likely to play this game on my break at work if I might get ads with sudden sounds or one with a girl wearing a thong doing “yoga” with a backside shot. Seriously, who is that yoga ad meant to appeal to?
This app is actually very fun, I like that it’s a bit of a puzzle compared to normal pixel coloring apps! The energy aspect is usually very limiting and off putting in apps, but not here! The app offers a lot of small events that help you get tons of free energy, items and coins – as well as free energy per image complete. Coins can be a bit of a drag, but not terrible. My BIGGEST complaint is the ads, they are SUPER intrusive. You complete a part of a larger image and boom ad. I don’t mind ads to unlock certain images but being bombarded by them non stop is insane. Especially with how needlessly long ads are these days. The ads take up time from your times infinite energy pretty sure. I feel like the time should only go down if you’re actively playing. Also, for context I DID pay to remove ads because they drove me insane and well, I like the app. With how expensive it is to remove ads, you should be able to skip optional ads and just receive the coins or whatever. It’s $10 usd.
I’m trying to be generous and give this 3 stars because I do love the game. I’ve played it on and off for months; for hours and hours. What I don’t love is this new museum feature. I’m not sure if the team didn’t test it very well, or if they just ignored the most glaring issue about it: earning diamonds for unlocks. In theory, this seemed fine. It is completely free just from playing. However, after days of testing it seems that it only works maybe 50% of the time. I’ll complete levels, it’ll tell me I earned 10 diamonds, then I’ll go to use them and the page will simply have a “play” button because I somehow haven’t earned any diamonds to use. At one point, I did multiple levels and should’ve had 17 diamonds after I was done. I had 14. This isn’t a drastic miscount, and certainly better than the levels that said I earned some and never gave me them, but it’s still something that should’ve been tested properly. At this point I just find the whole idea annoying because why would I want to give attention to a newly implanted feature that doesn’t actually reward me as it should?
The game overall is really fun and addictive. The gameplay is satisfying and the visuals are nice. The big problem that made me delete it is how buggy the events are, specifically the "Wonderful Painting" where you basically play Wordle with paint buckets. I got the event twice, and both times the game broke in ways that prevented me from completing it. The first was when the game wouldn't give me the last color I needed and just gave me the wrong one only. The second time the game just didn't give me the last bucket at all. This was after hours of grinding and spending the consumable tickets to get energy back, so I was furious at how badly my time and effort were invalidated by one glitch. I almost paid to get rid of ads, and I'm glad I didn't. Also so many ads that would sometimes open themselves as I'm playing or even open links on my phone even though I hit the skip button. Also scrolling the buttons at the top was weirdly jittery. This game needs work.
This game is really fun and addictive. The pictures are pretty, and the “energy system” is very generous with how much it gives you. However, the game has two fatal flaws: Firstly, there is a glitch where the game freezes my entire phone, which requires a restart. This usually happens at the end of levels, but a lot of times during levels— and unfortunately, this game doesn’t have a progress save feature. I’ve had to restart some of the extra large puzzles several times due to this issue, and it is extremely frustrating. Secondly, something about this game is extremely heavy on my phone. My phone is only three years old, yet if I play this game for around an hour, the battery drains by 80%. It also heats up my phone way too much for any simple puzzle game. I can’t even charge my phone while playing it due to the temperature potentially being a safety risk. In conclusion, this game would be five stars if it weren’t for these extremely frustrating flaws.
