• New Hero! Ezili is here to hex and vex her opponents!
• New card set, Camo Storm with over 40 new cards!
• Plus bug fixes and quality of life improvements!
Bloons Card Storm is a brilliant evolution of the Ninja Kiwi universe. It takes the familiar 'Monkeys vs. Bloons' conflict and translates it into a deep, turn-based CCG that feels entirely fresh. The genius lies in the 'Storm' mechanic—you're not just defending with towers; you're actively plotting offensive waves against your opponent.
The 3D animations bring the classic characters to life in a way we haven't seen before, and the tactical depth provided by the hero abilities is immense. Whether you're playing a slow-burn control deck or a fast-paced 'rush' strategy with fortified Bloons, the game feels balanced and rewarding. It’s a must-play for both CCG veterans and Bloons fans who want to see their favorite monkeys in a whole new light.
130+ unique cards with gorgeous 3D animations
Play both offensive Bloons and defensive Monkeys
Cross-platform play: PC, mobile, and tablet
Single-player adventures and competitive PvP Arenas
Deep deck-building with crazy combo possibilities
Use 'Fortify' cards right before your Bloon wave reaches the opponent. This surprise health boost can often be the difference between a failed attack and a knockout.
Don't spend all your resources on a massive attack if it leaves your own lanes open. Always keep enough gold back for a reactive monkey defense.
Simultaneously manage your side of the board for defense and the opponent's side for your Bloon attacks in real-time tactical matches.
Select heroes like Quincy or Gwendolin and strategically trigger their three unique abilities to turn the tide of battle.
Yes, Bloons Card Storm features a single-player mode that allows you to test your decks and earn rewards before heading into PvP.
I loved it - played in all the early access test and the game looks cool - but it is rather lackluster. I hope to see these things added as time goes: - Single player campaign. I don't mind waiting for a few months for this but we should have it. Its really boring right now with nothing much to do. - Card packs. One of the best part of PvZH, a similar game is that it allow both crafting and packs. Have monkeys/bloons/power packs, and maybe some that guarantees certain rarities. - Ranked/LTMs for multiplayer. I won't fault you for not having ranked as the game has just came out but it should be something on the to-be-added list don't you think?
The gameplay mechanics are good, the cards and heroes are fun. The only problem is quick ready. It is so broken, everyone uses it, it’s horrible to play against. I understand if a MOAB has 1 turn left I should predict the quick ready and hit the MOAB before they can use it, but what am I supposed to do when they stack 2 or 3 quick ready’s on a BFB that’s 3 turns away? What am I supposed to do when they drop a double yellow and quick ready it instantly? How am I supposed to know when in a match my opponent draws their third quick ready out of 40 cards? I know defenders are supposed to be the answer, but they’re so bad, they need a rework. I think defenders should be immune to shrink and other removal cards while they have ammo, that way can still get at least 1 free salvo off like every other monkey and then they can be removed so there’s counter play. I currently see no reason to use elite defender instead of a super monkey. The elite defender does less damage for its cost which I wouldn’t mind if it actually did it’s job at intercepting the quick ready’d double yellows, but people just shrink it when it’s about to defend, so I spent 7 gold on my defender that never even got to attack and got removed by a 5 gold card. I think this game is still pretty good, but please do something about quick ready
Bloons card storm is an incredibly unique card game, and a rather difficult one too (mainly because of how unorthodox it is). I like the monetization of the games, no packs just sweet crafting, which completely reduces the gambling element and allows you to spend exactly what you need to spend which is great, however I wish they didn’t put single player content behind a paywall, just because the game has massive potential to be a single player game and having 3 different encounters is just far too few, I hope in the future I can just spend a boatload of monkey bucks to access them even if they give out lesser rewards, the levels themselves are worth spending. Also the single player games immediately cut off if there is a connection change, I hope this changes in the near future as well. Lastly I am pleased so far with the game and I hope the team fully reaps the opportunity they have to develop the most unique card game in a HOT minute.
As a card game this seems fun but the mobile interface is a bit rough. All the icons and cards are really small, and picking which balloon to attack is difficult since you have to drag it and you can’t really see the tiny icons under your finger. Also, though this is a problem in the desktop version too, when you try to drag a card onto the battlefield, if you drag over another card, the other card gets selected. So if you try to drag a monkey from the right side of your hand to a specific spot you have to take an awkward path. Or really what happens is I just end up playing the other card and have to totally shift my game plan because it played the wrong card for me. These are things that can get ironed out though, the game itself seems solid and that’s the important part. So 4 stars
I’m enjoying the game so far! It’s fun to play learn the new mechanics. It’s really unique! I know it’s in its early stages and balances will come. It still feels a little raw when it comes to game play, the game looks great though! My biggest critique would be deck structure/balance. I like that you can increase the likelihood of getting a certain card by crafting more of them but it feels cluttered and a really inconsistent. The same deck can come with multiple play styles which is cool, but you don’t get to pick it because of the rng. I wonder if cutting the number of cards down but adding a mechanic similar to the Bloons for all cards, where you can play that card two times. Maybe subsequent plays of the same card cost an extra gold? Just a thought but I’m enjoying the game regardless!
Every time I am about to win a game, the other person quits the game. It says victory but I don’t get any of the rewards or xp that I have gotten on the few rare times I have actually won a game and finished it. I can understand not handing out rewards when people leave in the first 2 turns of the game, but when I have 600 damage of Bloons ready to hit and they leave the game that is a win that I deserve rewards for. This isn’t a couple games that this happens to me, it is every single game that I am going to win that they leave. Players should have to close the app to leave the game and the winner should get xp and rewards. It is too easy to just quit the game and make sure the other player doesn’t get their rewards for beating them. I am about ready to quit playing because my progress is limited by the amount of tokens that I get from the daily challenges because I can’t get any rewards from games.
I have already mentioned that the progression system combined with the ranking system that prevents you from ranking down has made me unable to play the game. An easy fix would be to just allow people to rank down from whatever Tier they are on to the one lower. The entire reason that function exists in most ranking systems is to prevent people from getting stuck against people much better than they are. For context, I have played between 20-30 ranked games when I got into Tier 2. I have lost every single one. I don’t have enough of or any of the cards that would help me win, and I can’t get any of them because I keep losing. Can’t play casual, no one is playing casual. I spent 3 minutes waiting for a casual match, won it easily. And anyone who was played it agrees that the adventure mode is just boring. Ninjakiwi please fix this
This just may be the best, and only card game I have played for more than 20 minutes. The game has controls easy to use so it won’t turn away any non-card game players. But as soon as you start playing more you start to really get into it. After you unlock more cards, build a deck, maybe get enough money to get a new hero, and start to play more, you get more cards, build a better deck, get more heroes. It almost never gets boring because the new cards you get have entirely new mechanics so you get a new experience every time because your opponent is random and they have their own deck with unique cards that you’ve never seen before. Sure the single player content is limited by a pay wall, but you forget that as soon as you fight another opponent in online pvp. This is one of the best mobile games I have played. 10/10
