Baseball 9 is a rare gem in sports gaming: it's incredibly deep yet accessible enough for a casual player. It strikes the perfect balance between a management sim and an arcade sports game. You aren't just playing the innings; you're recruiting players, upgrading their specific stats, and even customizing their gear. The recruitment system feels fair, and watching your 'rookie' team evolve into a league powerhouse is immensely satisfying.
The actual gameplay is condensed and optimized for mobile. Pitches are fast, and the batting mechanics feel responsive and weighty. You can choose to play every single inning or 'quick play' through the less critical parts of the game, which is perfect for a mobile format. The cartoonish art style is charming and keeps the game's performance smooth on almost any device. It’s easily one of the most addictive sports titles on the App Store.
Lean and fast gameplay with realistic physics
Full player customization and management
Autoplay and quick-result features
Comprehensive seasonal and postseason modes
Mix your pitches to keep the batter guessing. Use fastballs on the corners and breaking balls low in the zone to induce groundouts and strikeouts.
Use your earned rewards to recruit higher-tier players. Focus on upgrading your pitcher's stamina and your batter's power to dominate in the later innings.
Yes, the game is free to play, and you can earn premium currency through gameplay and league wins.
I downloaded this game only six days ago, and I seem to find myself playing it all the time! It’s super fun, especially because I play and enjoy softball. I like how you can change your team name, team emblem, and uniforms, but the price that you must pay I think is quite extreme. Also, I wish that at least some of the teams and players weren’t just bots, if you know what I mean? Don’t want to sound like a sore loser here, but it can get a little irritating having perfect players on the opposite team, ALWAYS catching your outfields pop-ups, and making outs that in the infield, which wouldn’t be as easy to do in such time in-real-life. No hate! I know several people out there can agree with me on this one, that they should add a multiplayers mode or something similar. I would find it enjoyable to play with my siblings and/or friends. Another thing to consider adding would be to be able to join other teams, like travel ball. I’m also just getting used to the controls and other features of the game, like buying new players. I recently purchased a new pitcher, and I haven’t seen her or been able to use her in the past ten games. I know this is a lot to ask, and I’m not saying you have to, since it is your game of course, but I’m just giving suggestions that I know other people can agree with as well. To wrap this big thing up, very good game, fair gameplay, and very addicting! I suggest getting this game, It’s very enjoyable - especially for being free to everyone.
Where are the Statistics ?? If there is one item that all Baseball fans crave is statistics… you give us all the statistics for a season of play… then when playoffs begin you leave off the season statistics…for comparison of players … a whole season gone… no way to compare players/ pitchers… then when -playoffs begin and team advances …no statistics again.. Championship series ends with no information on your players / pitchers… Game is great … best baseball sim, that is integrated with hitting and pitching.. loads of enjoyment WITH statistics…. Very realistic..AAA+, but leaving off the statistics for the playoffs and Championship leaves a sour taste and a “ oh what happened “ expression.. did my 3rd base player hit 400 for the season .. he was close at 396…… but everything resets to zero … would be perfect game if not for this lapse .. I’m on my 4th season, was hoping this had been fixed …. Again, it’s the best baseball sim that’s realistic with management .. highly recommend…. With all the details of every pitch and the details of every game ..with every statistic … it’s just a letdown for us Statistic freaks … at end of a playoff series and Championship series …. Again, I applaud all the refinements and the fine tuned play and the many views that the programmers have added .. it’s a wonderful action game .. I would give it 5 Plus stars … Would definitely give it 100% thumbs up for best baseball sim…… Thank you ….
This game is a lot of fun. There are even comical moments in it when players, stumble and make errors; even some of the theatrics of the players are humorous. Jumping into the game is easy, and there is a large spectrum of difficulty from super easy to pretty difficult…but it becomes difficult to the point of frustration…because, while the opposing team’s, talents, skills and abilities, grow, and while your own team player’s talents, skills and abilities grow in the statistics, playing abilities in the field are also governed by the difficulty level. Now, it seems fair of course, that the opposing team’s talent skills and abilities should grow but it’s not fair when your own team’s talent, skills and abilities shrink on the field in actual play as the level of difficulty increases. What I mean by this, is how far you hit the ball decreases as the difficulty increases, as well as the batting ‘eye’ circle when you’re batting for a pitcher, which means you miss a lot more pitches…to the point that it changes the game in an unacceptable manner. This is neither appropriate, fair, nor even somewhat realistic. Yeah, it’s a game, but it’s based on a real human game, while it mimics real human player talents, so the realism matters… and it fails in the upper difficulty areas. The redeeming quality is that you have a choice of which difficulty area you choose to play in. if it wasn’t for the annoying tweaks at the upper difficulty levels, I would’ve given this 5 stars.
I hadn’t played a baseball game on my phone in about 12 years (the last one was the 2012 Gamevil one), but for whatever reason, I got the itch to play again. BASEBALL 9 was the first one that looked decent enough to check out, and I wound up being pleasantly surprised at how f2p friendly the game was/is. All ads are opt-in for currency and energy, and while a lot of the equipment you can grab will be out of reach for most free players, if you’re actually playing the game and not just letting the game autoplay through everything you should be earning enough of both currencies to get some equipment, upgrade skills, upgrade players and recruit a player or two before the end of the first season. I can’t say if it continues down that road during your next seasons because I wound up spending a couple dollars on gems to show what little support I could afford to. Now in the beginning of my 3rd season, I’ve got 1 silver fielder (my 3rd baseman) 2 bronze fielders and then 1 silver pitcher and 1 bronze relief pitcher. All of which have at least one piece of equipment with stat augments and all of which are on their way to being level 20 players. For only dropping $1.99, I’d say that isn’t bad at all. I don’t have an exact amount, but I’d guess I’ve got about 15 hours into the game, and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon. If you’re a fan of baseball or baseball games, I’d fully recommend this one. Above and beyond all the other baseball games I’ve tried out on mobile. So a big thank you to the developers. You’ve created something special here, and I hope you are able to keep it updated into the future!
This game is great, the animations are smooth, the gameplay is really good, Etc. The only thing this game could use right now is a face editor for the players, kind of like mlb the show, it could use more stadiums for specific teams, for example pirates stadium. you could make the storms stadium have unique storm style snack shacks or seats and a storm logo on the field on do all sorts of things for other teams to. I also think you should have a stadium customizer for your own stadium in the game and you can put a emblem and other things in it. Another thing; which will take awhile is multiplayer. Players have been asking this for awhile now, but I think you could add a multiplayer mode, the league mode, and a career mode that you could make a player and go through training and other things to improve your player to be the best on either your team you made or with a team like the Kaisers. Other than that I think this game is the best on the market right now, but it could use some improvements. ( another thing that doesn’t go with this one is for playus soft, ur game is so good that I think if you have the same dynamic but for football or basketball you could expand into there sports. My wish is that you make an American football game)
The game itself is an great. It’s fun to play. I’m not into playing games that requires in app purchases. This one doesn’t require it, but has the options for the upgrading of players. However, if you choose to play for free concerning earning the free gems to make the upgrades, I must say the ads are not the best. I have a lot of issues with the ads being broken, several doesn’t pay, even after completing your obligated requirements. You can make a “claim” but it’s not worth the hassle. The very first time they contact you, they inform you that they need screenshots of everything. My response was it’s redundant to even ask that knowing nearly everybody that does it isn’t making the screenshots or recording videos of themselves playing the game. The next question is was there a purchase involved. It’s a scam in my eye to gain the “clicks” to get their goals. The more you make claims and complain, the fewer to non existent the paying offers are, as well as a much lower earning. It’s almost like dealing with Apple and AT&T when you have problems with your phone and service. One blames the issues on the other party, while that party blames the other also. It’s got to where I can’t earn the gems needed to upgrade to the level I want to be at. The game costs of things are high number of coins and gems, with a very minimal return of earning them. Greed has ruined things.
First off, for a mobile game, it looks and feels pretty good. However, the game pulls an EA and bombards you with micro transactions. I understand the game is free and the devs need to make money somehow, so I never get angry at a few micro transactions. The amount present in the actual game is simply unbelievable though. The power setting for hitting feels a little janky too. The PCI is smaller in exchange for balls to be harder hit, but the PCI feels so weird. I’ve had home runs where I’ve felt the PCI wasn’t even near the pitch, and I’ve hit weak grounders where I didn’t think I could barrel the pitch up any more than I did. Also I may go on a little bit of a rant here, but I barrel up almost every pitch but it manages to fall into the hands of a diving outfielder. I understand it’s baseball, and expecting a base hit every at bat won’t happen in a million years. But 50-60% of my line drives are line outs to the outfielders. It feels as if the game punishes you for making good contact, or if some rng is at play. It’s just kinda stupid and annoying. If it’s a fly ball, then it gives the outfield more time to grab it so I don’t complain. However, my line drives are either right down the middle, or to the left and right fielders. I won’t lie when I say I’ve had fun playing this game, and I’ll definitely continue to play it in the future. These are just some issues that my perspective sees. Thanks for reading.
I really like the game. The game is a cool fun. I really like the graphics. Wish there would be more stuff into it. I wish there was more ways so you can get diamonds and ways to get more baseball players from a rookie to legend, I wish, you guys would put colored uniforms like blue and black or green yellow stuff like that or even colors like in the MLB or in the little leagues baseball team like the Las Vegas aviators colors like that and I wish you guys would give more equipment for players, instead of having the same thing over and over Earrings, bracelets, necklace, facials, more beers, more glasses, more sunglasses, better guards for the players, face guards, ankle guards, arm guard, and I wish you guys would give more batting equipment to and pitching but overall this game is pretty good Baseball9 is a good game I wish it was serious about equipment. I feel like you guys should make the bats or the gloves have a the same scenario, the bracelet necklace, and the earrings how it can give you better control or better eyeball stuff into the bat and gloves and if you really wanna make me more money, try to drop the price and also try putting more stadiums for coins and last diamond I want to see BASEBALL 9 make the game where you can recruit other players from other teams and they can recruit other players from your team by choices and you guys should do like an MLB draft, but in BASEBALL 9
