No hint rewards after every level (past level 2500)

I enjoyed playing this game all the way up to level 2500, that’s when the level rewards stop. I can still complete all the math puzzles, but it takes a little longer without the hints and it’s harder to compete with their phony top 100 players. Currently I’m in the top 0% of their players in the world. That’s right, not the top 1%, the top 0%! I’ve been the top weekly regional player ever since I started and I gained a 1% tier position in my first month. A week later, it somehow put me in a 0% tier position which I still stand at today, that’s the only math equation I still have trouble solving. Bottom line… no more rewards, no more interest in watching all your ads while solving the otherwise easy puzzles.

Game had such potential

I was really enjoying the game until recently. Whether due to an update or reaching a certain level, the game has become unplayable. The ads are relentless. You finish a level and there is an ad. And another. I try closing the game and reopening, more ads. The ads can last up to a minute or more. Now I get that it’s a free game and they need to generate revenue but they’ve clearly gone overboard. I would have paid for an ad free game if it was available. But am going to delete this garbage from my phone. Update: I received a nothing response from the developer. I do understand that they make their money from ADs and I don’t begrudge them of that. What I do take issue with is the length and the number of them. Interestingly they didn’t pop up this frequently until I was heavily invested in the game. No matter, I deleted it and found a better replacement. I would avoid this game at all costs unless you live long and frequent ADs.

Boring

You can’t set difficulty level. I suppose you need to work your way up??? In the meantime, even though the tutorial explains how to do complex equations with three numbers before the equal sign, I did something like 50 puzzles and never saw anything like that. The math was so basic, it was boring! When I worked on the puzzles yesterday, I got water drops that grew a plant. Today, the plant reset to a single leaf. It makes it seem like nothing I did yesterday earned me anything, even though my level is unchanged. Today, I was asked to upgrade to the new version, even though I downloaded the app yesterday. How is there a new version already? I mean, sure it could happen, but it’s sus. And the ads broke the app twice in the space of twenty minutes. Plus, it’s taking a lot of power to run and making my iPad heat up. Two stars. Would not recommend. Play kakuro instead.

Too Many Ads

I liked this game enough that I searched for a way to pay for an ad-free experience. However, since there wasn’t, I had to delete the game. There’s an ad before each game and after each game. The skip button doesn’t show up for a few seconds, then it shows up to open the app store. You have to close the app store, and it brings up a NEW ad screen. You then have to wait for that ad to bring up a skip button, and you can FINALLY move on. All the while, whatever you’re listening to in the background is paused. That was my biggest pet peeve. I play plenty of other free games with ads, but they are not nearly as bad. I appreciate free games need a way to make money, but this was just so ridiculous. I would have needed to watch at least 30-40 ads to meet my daily goals, and I just couldn’t warrant that.

Nothing Zen About Ads

Have been playing this game for a while, and enjoyed it immensely. All of a sudden, they decided to introduce ads between, before, or after every level and can’t stand it. The levels don’t take long enough to play to deal with this. I once said every kid should download this game to enhance their math and problem solving skills, but now they’ve turned it into another annoyance and I would not recommend. At least offer a payment to do away with ads and then we can get back to “Zen” … terribly disappointed. Deleting this from my phone and won’t be playing again unless/until this is resolved.

Way too many ads

This game is really good. I have enjoyed playing it a lot. Until I got to about level 180. Then when I finished one level, I had to go through 6 ads to get to the next level. I have had to go through 10 ads to get to the next level at times. I understand needing to have ads in a game. It is how they make money. I don’t mind an ad or two, but ten is way too many. I have closed the app and come back about 4 hours later and had to go through a bunch of ads to get to the game. I tried to chat with them, but they asked name and email address before they would chat. That is too much also. Name, I understand, but they don’t need my email address. So sad because it is a good game.

Please do better

Math has never been a friend of mine. But I thought this game might actually improve my math skills and have some fun in the mean time. But, the adds are killing me. They take forever to load and nearly impossible to get out of them and are definitely a lot longer than a game. I spent 5 minutes waiting for the game to load and get going, but instead it popped me right into an add to start off with. Not good. I know adds make the game free, but I also known there are better ways to making the adds short and easier to get out of. I think I'll try a different game. Please do better.

I very rarely write an app review, but this app has driven me to break my norm of ignoring the “Rate my app” prompts. I actually went to the App Store, to find the review this app prompt. I would gladly pay extra for this game to ditch the ads, it is getting unplayable with an annoying deceptive ad after every level. The annoying ad deceptively makes you think you need to install an update, and it is another math crossword app…. It was so deceptive, I thought my iPad was broken, or there was an issue with the app. So very frustrating. If I could give this app zero stars I would. Annoying that the developer is so greedy…. Sad.
