A Kindling Forest turns 2 years on the AppStore!
Two years of adventures, and we’re just getting started! To celebrate, we’re bringing you a brand-new skin and even more free content to explore.
There’s never been a better time to step into the forest, discover its magic, and try more of the adventure before deciding to unlock the full game.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Now, let’s celebrate!
A Kindling Forest is a remarkably refreshing take on the mobile auto-runner genre, injecting genuine tension and strategic depth into what is usually a mindless reflex test. By cleverly tying your ammunition directly to your health pool, every single encounter forces a tense risk-versus-reward calculation. Do you expend precious arrows to clear a tricky shard formation, or do you risk a tight dodge to save your skin?
Visually, the game charms with its cozy, magical woodland aesthetic, contrasted nicely by fast-paced platforming challenges that keep you on your toes. While it can occasionally lean into punishing difficulty spikes, reaching a checkpoint after a grueling sequence of ruins and lava is deeply satisfying. It is a tight, polished, and surprisingly emotional adventure that deserves a spot on any mobile gamer's device.
Challenging auto-runner mechanics where ammo is your life
Magical fantasy atmosphere with unique forest spirit helpers
Diverse levels featuring ruins, lava, and floating cloud sequences
Intuitive two-touch control scheme for jumping and shooting
Remember that your collected arrows are your life count as well as your ammunition. Conserve them carefully, aim for weak points on incoming shards, and manage checkpoints efficiently to progress through difficult obstacles.
The screen is split into distinct touch areas for jumping and shooting. React quickly to obstacles, dodge spiders, and utilize environment mechanics like teleporters and floating clouds to survive.
Since your arrows double as your life count, running out of arrows means you will perish and have to restart from the last checkpoint.
Just finished playing the auto-runner shooting game, and I have to say, it’s both fun and challenging! The gameplay keeps you on your toes as you continuously move forward, dodging obstacles and taking down enemies. One of the standout features for me is the graphics adding a lot of character to the game world. The slow-motion effect during shooting is another highlight. It really adds a cinematic touch, making you feel like a total action hero as you take out enemies in style. However, the game does ramp up in difficulty pretty quickly. While the early levels are manageable and provide a good sense of progression, it shifts from easy to hard much faster than expected. This creates a steep challenge that keeps things exciting, but can also be a bit frustrating at times if you’re not prepared for the sudden spike in difficulty. Overall, it’s a great pick for fans of arrow-shooting action with some cool visuals and satisfying mechanics. Definitely worth playing if you’re up for the challenge!
I love this game, I can’t wait to see more! I have a mechanics question for the devs though: what is the point of shooting the targets and acorns if they just end up wasting your arrows/lives? are they meant to trip you up or is there a future mechanic that rewards you for them? genuine question as someone interested in game dev :)
The game is so much fun. I’m playing it. It’s a lot of new ventures takes a few times to try over but it’s really fun to play at first. You played like three games and then you gotta pay but the payment is well worth it. It’s really fun because you earn a crown.
Why didn’t the purchase button respond when I click it
This game really is a hidden gem. It has a great art style and the movement controls are really fun to use. This game has a ton of potential. Can’t wait for more content to come out.
I completed the game in 30 mins and couldn’t stop playing I just wish that I didn’t have to pay for more levels
This game is very well made and fun. I wish more companies would use this model and charge a small price to avoid annoying adds.
I think the game mechanics are amazing but can there be an option to increase the speed of the auto Scroll?
